Two men have been arrested by the Vigilantes group behind the auto garage in Abeokuta Ogun State on the 25th of January 2020 for allegedly engaging in homosexual acts.
Speaking with journalists, the commandant of the vigilante group disclosed that on January 25 2020, they were alerted by a whistleblower.
We gathered that Kunle had always been suspected by the whistleblower of being homosexual in the Kuto community and we quickly responded.
The two men identified as Kunle and his friend Adebayo Ogundairo reportedly caught in the act of homosexuality.
The whistleblower who as the custom of the land demands, raised alarm because it is considered sacrilegious in the community for someone who sees the act not to raise alarm to be saved from the wrath of the gods of the land.
In January 2014, Nigeria signed the same-sex marriage between persons of the same sex. The law forbids any cohabitation between same-sex sexual partners to show same-sex amorous relationships.
The punishments are severe, ranging from 10 to 14 years imprisonment.
It is also considered an abomination in the communities.
